lyrics

Have you heard of the drones we're sending overseas?
We're sending them out wherever we please.
They come from the sky and crash in the streets
tearing to shreds whatever it meets.

Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You signed the orders but do you know the names?
Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You pressed the buttons this ain't video games.

We'll fuck up the region then we'll send them our stores.
We'll sell them the guns that help fund the wars.
Now we're making money hand over fist.
Just bury their names so that they won't be missed.

Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You signed the orders but do you know the names?
Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You pressed the buttons this ain't video games.

She's walking home now from dropping off her kid
laughing to herself about something he did.
It came from the sky and tore up a hole.
Now his mommy's gone and he doesn't even know.

Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You signed the orders but do you know the names?
Tell me what was their names!
Tell me, what was their names?
You pressed the buttons this ain't video games.

about

David Power Galesburg, Illinois

My name is David Power. I play guitar and sing. My influences include Woody Guthrie, Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Dylan, Jeffery Lewis, classic rock, hip-hop, and more.
I've studied classical guitar and know music theory, but I base my style most heavily on Woody Guthrie's folk guitar and simple lyrics.

I've been playing open mics in the Midwest, but cut my teeth at In One Ear in Rogers Park, Chicago.
